College predictor
Historical-match bands based on past cut-off patterns. A reference for shortlisting, never a guarantee of admission.
Match bands
Enter a rank or percentile to see how institutions group into confidence bands.
Band definitions
- Historical match — previous cut-offs sat at or above your position in more than one recent cycle.
- Borderline — previous cut-offs were close to your position; outcome depends on the cycle.
- Stretch — previous cut-offs were comfortably above your position.
- Insufficient data — no verified historical cut-off is loaded for this combination.
What we refuse to do
We will not label an institution "safe" or "guaranteed". Cut-offs move with candidate numbers, seat matrices and policy, and a promise here would be a lie told with confident formatting.
Architecture
How the predictor is built
Cut-off store
Historical cut-offs live in their own table with year, category, round and source for every row.
Band logic
Your position is compared against the distribution rather than a single cut-off line.
Exam adapters
Each exam has its own adapter module, so GATE or CLAT can be added without touching the UI.
No silent guessing
When a combination has no verified history, the band says insufficient data instead of estimating.
Next step
Turn a band into a plan
The predictor narrows the field. A counsellor turns it into an ordered preference list with the right deadlines attached.
